Description:

This digital tools course is for any student working in the realm of art and object making. Learn not only how to use and utilize relevant software, but also learn how to apply your skills to the creative process -- from model making to prototyping to creative making. Students will learn to connect their digital work to laser cutters and 3D printers, and consider the ways digital fabrication can support their own unique practice. The general principle behind this course is that digital fabrication is a crucial skill for today's object makers whether professional artists, designer/makers and also for folks who are interested in adding a new set of skills to their toolbox.Instructor Corey Wolffs is a jeweler and metalsmith with a background in design and design principles. His multifaceted professional practice is inclusive of digital fabrication as part of workflow.
