Utilizing hand tools, handheld tooling and machinery students will learn methodical approaches to transform this natural material into their own unique projects.Skills and techniques will be focused on safe and effective use of tooling available in the Furniture Studio. Additive and subtractive processes will be the primary objectives, in support of shaping and sculpting. Stack lamination and bent lamination are also covered, along with an overview of mechanical hardware for purposes such as wall hanging or knock-down functions.
