Adjunct II Professor, Critical Studies Program
Description:
Our bodies are us, but they are never only us, because life is innately collaborative: we are never only ourselves. This course looks at artists and activists, scientists and storytellers, theorists and cultural critics who work on what it is to be a body among other bodies. With their help, we'll consider our own human embodiment and how we impact one another, for good and ill. We will pay special attention to contemporary politics and creative practices that emerge from and elaborate on embodiment.
