Description:
The Studio: Graphic Design is a year-long discipline specific course comprised of a series of structured projects designed to teach fundamental graphic design principles, methodologies, process, and skills over the course of two semesters. These projects focus on elements of the design process (typography, form making, ideation, communication, interpretation) in order to gain better understanding and control of them. Projects will build upon each other as students will be asked to tackle more complex problems, and be responsible for all aspects of the design process including concept, research, content development, and form. These critical and formal skills learned in this course will establish the foundation of your practice and address how to use the tools, but will also give you the knowledge of why and what you should use the tools for.
