Description:
This class will teach you how to design, build, and debug mechatronic devices. Mechatronics integrates mechanical and electronic engineering and might otherwise be called robotics or product engineering. Students will focus on building functional prototypes and mockups in support of a self initiated research topic. Hacking existing products will be encouraged as well as using off-the-shelf hardware (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry PI, Lego MindStorm). Basic electronics, hardware programming and mechanical interactions will be explored.
