Description:

This research and writing-based course examines notions of "making" from a variety of historical and contemporary, critical and cultural perspectives ranging across several disciplines from psychology and anthropology to education, environmental studies, and design. The Maker Movement, rational, conceptual, and material modes of imagination, formalism, generative design, participatory design and other topics related to craft and the psychology of creativity will be considered.
