Description:

Humans are facing an existential crisis that will require massive, innovative, rapid, collaborative, systemic change if we hope to survive. Designers make decisions that create this kind of change for businesses in every industry, every day. Designers have influence through their work. They are culture shifters. They design the physical and digital world. Its time to co-create a better world together. In this class, students will create a design project that addresses the challenge; how might we promote existing climate solutions and approaches to become widespread and adopted? Final projects need to amplify entire climate-focused industries, ensuring every company, campaign, and initiative gets the attention they need to drive progress forward. Projects need to consider intended audiences, equity, adaptability, regeneration, and more. Students will learn frameworks and approaches that apply to not only climate solutions, but to any design project.
