Description:

This Topic Studio will guide students into 3D design explorations for 3D printing in collaboration with HP Labs. In the class, students will learn about the capabilities of highly advanced industrial-grade 3D printing technology and get hands-on experience in designing hybrid 3D objects based on independent research interests. The class will provide students with opportunities to experiment with 3D forms and aesthetics in addition to the experience of a digital fabrication process in the 3D printing industry. Students without 3D modeling and printing experience are welcomed and reference materials will be provided if needed. There are no technical prerequisites for this class, only an interest in 3D printing.
