Description:
Studio 1 class introduce students from basic to intermediate draping, flat
pattern-making techniques as well as learning garment construction. The
students will become familiar with the sewing machine, pattern-making
tools and equipment. The course will include instructor demonstrations
and student practice, to develop a strong foundation to create and build
garments. Students will complete patterns, muslin samples for each
assigned project. Students must either pass Garment Structures (FASHN-104) with a C or better, OR pass the Sewing Proficiency Test scheduled during Orientation Week.
