Visual Communication for Portfolio: May Liang 4 - 7 PM (Room N 7)
In this section of Fashion Illustration 3, students build critical compositional and tactile skills to present concepts, figurative, and technical digital flat work with compelling and distinctive points of view. Instructional emphasis will be on building a tactile portfolio from work developed in Fashion Design 1-3, and presenting ongoing work in compelling and unique formats. This is particularly important as students explore concepts in sustainability studio that fall outside traditional fashion parameters and expectations.
Building a digital website is also an outcome of this section of the class.

Technical Digital Flats: Lamarr Nanton 7 - 10 PM (Computer Lab B)
Fashion Illustration 3 builds on the skills developed in Fashion Illustration 1 - 2 and Studio 1- 2. With knowledge of garment design and construction and with acquired introductory digital skills, students bring their 2D technical work to a more advanced level. Instructional emphasis will be on strengthening digital flats, accurately capturing the fit and attitude in garments, and capturing construction, proportions, details, and trims to a professional standard.
Building a professional tech pack is also an outcome of this section of the class.

At the end of this course, students will have a tactile portfolio and website to use for professional interviews and will have acquired making skills to support the Fashion Illustration/Visual Communication 4 Senior-level Portfolio class.
This course is required for Fashion Illustration/Visual Communication 4 Senior-level Portfolio class.
