Description:
The Kinetic Exquisite Corpse: An Experimental Printmaking Course with Tschabalala Self Students will be asked to generate a series of prints, using any and all printmaking technique(s) they see fit. Working with a loose narrative, which will be decided upon by the group, as inspiration. All contributions will be curated and organized to generate an animation at the end of the course. The culminating animation will depict a figure moving in space. All students with an interest in printmaking are encouraged to participate, despite their level of skill. Needs for Course: -printmaking facilities access -drying rack access -california wash -denatured alcohol -shop rags -fire safety soiled rag container -printmaking inks (bone black and primary colors) -printmaking rollers (large & small) -printmaking scrapers -plate oil -whiting -newsprint print on roll -bloaters -cardboard -access to a computer -access to a scanner -access to camera
