Explore the chair as both a functional piece and an iconographic object, embodying cultural significance and engineering ingenuity. Building on the skills acquired in Furniture Fundamentals, this course invites you to delve into the expressive possibilities of chair design within the creative community of the Furniture Studio. You will learn advanced techniques, including joinery, stack lamination, power carving, and bent lamination, to expand your toolkit. Throughout the course, you will design and build your own unique seating solution, honing strategies to translate your creative vision into a tangible form through skilled craftsmanship.
