This workshop in creative nonfiction focuses on the study and production of all subgenres of CNF, especially lyric essay, multi-genre memoir, travel writing, documentary, literary journalism, personal essay, and hybrid narrative. Students will learn the craft of turning personal/family obsessions and social/cultural convictions into literature, as well as the basics of the profession, like pitching stories to editors in the ongoing quest for better living through CNF.
