Description:
Exhibition design represents a unique intersection within graphic design practice, touching on topics as diverse as wayfinding, marketing design, identity design, interior architecture, curatorial practice, and community engagement. In this course, students will explore the history of exhibition design and work with local institutions and contemporary graphic designers to curate, design, and fabricate their own exhibitions. We will also develop work that questions the nature of exhibits and explores the ways that previously material communications are increasingly dematerializing into online spaces.
