Studio options may vary from semester to semesterCourse Section Description:This class will immerse graphic design students in the world of animation and allow them to apply motion graphics to the static standards of design. We will examine films from video artists, kinetic typographers, and animators throughout history and discuss how their work is relevant to today. We will learn ins and outs of After Effects and be introduced to new modes of animation and augmented reality with programs such as Cinema4D, Open Frameworks, and Spark AR Studio. Students should leave this class as a rare hybrid of designer / animator.
