Students will learn what kinds of illustration/illustrators are out in the world, how the business of illustration works, and how to conceive and execute professional-level illustrations. Assignments will be structured more or less like real illustration assignments would be, and a few assignments will be to make pictures of your own choice using illustration techniques we will explore in class. Hybrid course sections will be delivered both in-person and online. Online portions will be delivered with both asynchronous and synchronous components that will be outlined in the course syllabus.
