Description:
This class is part of CCA Illustration’s core program. Its focus is on advanced composition and concept, two vital elements of any successful piece of illustration. Through a variety of assignments, this course will explore the design elements used in create effective images. Students will learn about color theory and advanced composition. They will be introduced to a variety of artists with a diversity of style, media, gender, and cultural and national background. The joy and challenge of illustration is finding "freedom within constraints," and this course will help students learn to find new and clear ways to communicate their individual vision within these constraints.
