Description:
We will lean about the key illustrations, art movements, artistic strategies, and social concerns that have shaped and defined illustration during the last 150 years. We will explore how illustrators have used their work to respond to, advance, or resist political, economic, and cultural conditions in their communities and nations. We use contemporary critical and analytical approaches to produce analyses of the art works we will be reviewing, and apply web-based tools to locate to create and share art and art historical research.
