This 3D CAD digital design workflow course builds on DC3 and explores contemporary digital tools as an integrated part of the design process. Students develop advanced skills in digital sketching, digital model making, 3D modeling, surface development, visualization, rendering, AI-assisted workflows, and the creation of assets for prototyping, storytelling, communication, and production. Through demonstrations, assignments, and critiques, students apply digital tools from concept development through refinement and final presentation, using visual narratives and iterative feedback to strengthen design outcomes. Coursework may include digital sketches, technical drawings, renderings, animations, AI-generated visualizations, prototype-ready files, physical prototypes, and portfolio-quality presentation materials.By the end of the course, students will demonstrate advanced proficiency in contemporary digital design workflows, the ability to clearly communicate design ideas, and the adaptability to evaluate and integrate emerging digital technologies throughout their careers.
