Description:
This advanced studio invites you to imagine the future of autonomous mobility and urban experience through a real-world design challenge with Zoox and Autodesk Fusion.You’ll work directly with industry partners and receive a future-focused prompt from Zoox to guide a semester-long exploration into mobility, service ecosystems, and intelligent systems design.The course mirrors the pace and format of a professional design studio, with regular critiques, short deadlines, and reviews with Zoox Industrial Designers and Autodesk teams. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit Zoox HQ, Redwood City, and gain insight into their design culture.This is a fast-paced, high-level studio requiring strong skills in research, storytelling, Fusion 360 CAD modeling, animation, sketching, and both full-scale and 5th scaled model-making.It is strongly recommended that students enrolling in this course section have a demonstrated proficiency in Fusion 360.Final Deliverables: A complete design case study including research insights, system/service maps, high-fidelity models (digital + physical), and a concept animation.
