Description:
This is a class designed around the concept of play for all.ID Faculty and professional toy designer will be sharing extensive knowledge, tips and techniques learned from working in the toy industry.Over the semester, students will be using traditional media to do initial ideation, before transitioning to CAD using Autodesk Fusion 360 to create CAD models that can be 3D printed. Also, optional virtual reality ideation and design using Gravity Sketch combined with Autodesk Fusion 360. This class will be great for Industrial Designers, Illustrators, Animators, Entertainment Designers, Game Designers or anyone who wants to add some play into their projects.Investigative Studios are courses designed to provide insight into a specific workflow or media practice. Often these studios are a collaborations with other programs at the college, where students will get a focused exploration into a making practice through the lens of design and fabrication. Investigative Studios are open to students of Junior standing, and intended to advance their skills and develop work to help set their portfolio apart.
