Description:
Students in this section of Design Research will work with a Potrero-based non-profit, The Neighbor Project. Through interviews, observation, and co-creation activities, student teams will provide The Neighbor Project with a deeper understanding of the community they serve, and recommendations for compelling experiences that encourage long-term engagement in the community. This course is part of ENGAGE at CCA, a program of the Center for Art and Public Life. ENGAGE at CCA is a community-engagement program that partners students with local organizations, allowing students to apply critical and creative skills toward real-world projects. The course is an intermediate course on community engagement.
