LENOVO (Beijing), in partnering with CCA students, seeks to investigate and identify scenarios for the future of work where pain points and challenges that can be solved by intelligent transformation, and design sustainable devices, services, solutions and/or systems. From co-working spaces to remote work to creative high-tech work models, what we consider an "office" is evolving at a very fast pace. With the premise of a bilingual (American-Mandarin/Cantonese) and bi-cultural approach, this multidisciplinary course invites students from Interaction Design, Industrial Design and additional Design disciplines, to imagine the future scenarios, spaces and experiences where work will happen.
Investigative Studios are courses designed to provide insight into a specific workflow or media practice. Often these studios are a collaboration with other programs at the college, where students will get a focused exploration into a making practice through the lens of design and fabrication. Investigative Studios are open to students of Junior standing, and intended to advance their skills and develop work to help set their portfolio apart.
