Description:

How can what already exists become the starting point for what comes next? Future Ecologies explores reuse as a creative, cultural, and ecological practice across design, architecture, fine arts, and the humanities and sciences. Students develop research and writing skills by investigating how materials, stories, spaces, and technologies can be repaired, reinterpreted, and transformed.Throughout the course, students practice observation, critical reading, source evaluation, analysis, revision, and writing for different audiences. Workshops and peer exchanges help students communicate their ideas clearly and connect their own work to broader conversations. Students from all CCA programs are welcome; no prior design background is required.
