Description:
Building on the topics introduced in Structures 1, the advanced Structures course provides an in depth study into the behavior of structural elements and systems. Computational methods of structural analysis are used to predict behavior and design building elements. The unique issues related to the resistance of lateral wind and seismic forces are addressed. Atypical and innovative structural systems and the associated methods of analysis and design are examined.
