Description:
This course explores the pleasures, compulsions and complexities of queer archival practices and projects. We will read queer and trans theory and theory about queer and trans archives, explore the special collections at the CCA library; visit a number of LQBTQ archival collections (some material, some digital), explore a range of archival methodologies including recent considerations regarding archival practices in Digital Humanities. This course draws on scholarly, creative and activists’ practices and culminates in the curation and development of your own archival project.
