Description:
Advanced Printmaking: Hot off the Press This advanced course is designed to allow students to perfect the knowledge and techniques learned in beginning and intermediate printmaking courses including intaglio, relief, lithography, monotype, book arts and screen print. Exploration of digital and photo-based imagery may compliment these media. Students may also explore substrates alternative to paper such as fabric, wood, metal and 3-D armatures in the creation of large-scale prints and/or installations. To foster dialog the class will be introduced to historical and contemporary printmaking through presentations, field trips to exhibitions and visiting artists. May be repeated for credit.
