Mythology pitches the mind beyond that rim, to what can be known but not told.” ― Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth Our class, "Seeing Mythology," will explore myths and their role in our understanding of the human experience in the mystery of life.As an entry point for our critical reflection and creative inquiry into the nature and power of myth, we will also investigate the rich visual histories of myth and how mythology shapes our personal, social, and cultural identities.Writing 2 continues the work of Writing 1 to strengthen your ability to write, read, and engage in critical college-level discussion. We will also practice literary and visual analysis, as we do research and analytic essay writing. Prerequisite: Writing 1 or equivalent.
