Description:

Writing 2 continues the work begun in Writing 1 on strengthening students' ability to write, read and discuss at the college level, with emphasis on literary and visual analysis, and research and argumentation skills. The course will revolve around a specific theme selected by the instructor.Course DescriptionThis course will investigate different types of crime and criminal activity as portrayed in novels, short stories, and film. We will examine and analyze literary elements such as character, plot, point of view, setting, motive, dialogue, etc., through the lens of crime. You will write essays pertaining to crime and develop the skill of presenting a cogent argument backed up with supporting evidence from primary and secondary sources.
