Description:
Graphic narrative is a general term for comic books, graphic novels, manga, bandes dessinees, sequential art, and related graphic texts, which may or may not be primarily narrative. The course is formatted as an interdisciplinary workshop, but will also examine the evolution, subject matter, form, conventions, possibilities, and future of the graphic novel genre through assigned readings. Students will work independently and collaboratively on relevant projects. This course fulfills the text and image requirement for Writing and Literature majors.
