Description:
In our time of climate catastrophe, it can be a challenge to feel a sense of hope or celebration. However, the joy of connecting with the Earth's rhythms and beauty can give us the strength to continue our necessary activism. In this course, we will investigate the role of the natural world in the creative work of selected writers, artists, and makers. We will engage with journaling and research projects in order to connect with the flora, fauna, geology, and natural history of our beautiful Bay Area, and we will support one another's efforts to celebrate life in all of its diversity and flux.
