Description:

In this course, we will interrogate the many ways Asian America has evolved through art and culture. We will look at the history of Asian American representations by studying and comparing diverse examples of literature, visual art, music, film, television and social media. We will research and discuss how the past and present influences what Asian America can be in the future. Students will complete several writing and research assignments over the course of the semester culminating in a final digital project analyzing a major influence of Asian American culture.
