Description:

This class looks at San Francisco through the lens of literature to deepen understanding of the dynamic interplay between people and places. We'll look at how The City, with its history, traditions, stories, and physical structures, has shaped its inhabitants' and visitors' lives since its beginnings and up into its present. Together we will visit the literary world of San Francisco, reading authors from Mark Twain to Michelle Tea, and also write about our own experiences of storied City by the Bay.
