ARTIST STATEMENT
Garment and textile design compel me, its ability to represent people, their personalities, the eras of society with its problems, deficiencies and particular circumstances. I am enthralled by the way society and people show their roles in the world, generating cultures, and how such cultures often clash, merge or even contradict one another. In these cultural dynamics, textile and garment takes a variety of forms and creates special bonds of people. By addressing some of the ethical issues around fashion such as sustainability, I seek innovatively to work with that connection among people to emphasize the sense of bond and generate an emotional conscience between garments and individuals. I believe that this effort will entail the emotional sustainability of our lives as well.
