IwamotoScott Architecture is an award winning and internationally recognized architecture practice established in San Francisco by Lisa Iwamoto and Craig Scott in 2002. They create innovative designs at all scales - with work ranging from art installations to interiors to buildings to visionary cities. They rethink the constraints of the everyday to create unique architectural syntheses of program, site and material to make spaces that are functional, distinctive and beautiful.

Lisa Iwamoto received her Master of Architecture degree with Distinction from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Colorado. She has previously worked as a Structural Engineer at Bechtel Corporation in San Francisco, and Architectural Designer at Schwartz Silver Architects, and Thompson and Rose in Boston, and Architectural Intern at Morphosis in Santa Monica. She is currently Professor of Architecture at the University of California Berkeley, where she was named the inaugural Doris and Clarence Malo Collegium Teaching Chair in Design, and where her design research concentrates on the perceptual performance of material and digital fabrication techniques. She has taught previously at the University of Michigan where she was a Muschenheim Fellow, Harvard University, Cornell University, Sydney University and Southern California Institute of Architecture.

Craig Scott received his Master of Architecture degree with Distinction from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, and an Associate of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Nevada. He has previously worked as Project Architect at Brian Healy Architects in Boston and RoTo Architects in Los Angeles, and as Architectural Designer at Morphosis in Santa Monica and Glass Associates in Berkeley. Currently, he is Professor of Architecture at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, where his teaching focus is on Advanced Studios, Core Studios, and Architectural Analysis. He taught the Esherick Visiting Professor of Practice studio at UC Berkeley and has taught previously in the architecture programs at the University of Michigan, Harvard University, Syracuse University, Sydney University, Southern California Institute of Architecture, and Yale University.
