GAMING AND PLAY: GAME PROJECTS
Play the games created by the students of CCA's "Gaming and Play" course, a philosophy and critical theory course offered in the Critical Studies Program.
Students were originally tasked with designing a board game that engaged with a social justice issue, critical theory, or philosophical question that they felt was of critical importance to themselves, CCA, or the greater world. With the global Covid-19 pandemic forcing campus closure, students revised their projects from being played on the tabletop to being distributable online and to take part in CCA's Virtual Game Faire.
I am extremely proud of their effort in adapting their projects for the Game Faire and for the serious (and still fun) dimensions of their games. -Zachary Walter, Assistant Professor in Animation, Game Arts Coordinator
