How to make a Backpack


Tired of never finding the perfect backpack for you? You can design and sew your very own custom backpack! This tutorial covers a broad range of sewing topics, will give you an overview on how to approach a project that requires fair amount of sewing.

Mini Backpack From Scratch! (Fjällräven Kånken style)

Front, Back Panel: 9" wide, 12.5" tall each

Front Pocket Top Piece: 7" wide, 5" tall
Front Pocket Bottom Piece: 7" wide, 6" tall

Front/Back - 32 cm X 45 cm 
Bottom Piece - 14 cm X 26.5 cm 
Lower sides x2 - 14 cm X 22.5 cm 
Top/side piece 1 - 7 cm X 60 cm 
Top/slide piece 2 - 14 cm X 60 cm 
Large zipper - 60  cm 
Small zipper - 28 cm 
Pocket top (medium rectangle ) - 9.5 cm X 28 cm 
Pocket middle ( Largest rectangle) 19 cm X 28 cm
