CCA Extension

Embrace your inner artist. Develop creative skills. Explore the traditional and the unexpected.

California College of the Arts offers a wide range of year-round, noncredit extension courses for professional, intellectual, and creative development for adults that are 18 years and older

Courses are offered on the San Francisco and Oakland campuses in the evenings or weekends. They range from fine art such as painting/drawing, jewelry design, and ceramics to software and design-based classes including Photoshop, Illustrator, and intro to interior design.

COVID-19 update

April 27, 2020

CCA has made the difficult decision to cancel all Summer CCA Extension classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are hoping to resume classes this fall. Please add your name to the notification list here if you would like to be updated when registration opens.

Eligibility

All students must be 18 years or older to enroll in CCA Extension. We offer a figure drawing class for high school aged students in the spring and fall.

In the summer, we offer a Young Artist Studio Program for middle school aged students , Summer Atelier for rising sophomores and juniors, and a Pre-College Program for 10th, 11th and 12th graders
