Week 1 - 2D
Week 2 - 2D
Week 3 - 2D/3D
Week 4 - 3D
Week 5 - Working on Final Collaborative Projects (2D, 3D or combo of the two)
MONDAY / 9:00 am - 3:00 pm PST
9:00 am – Log onto Zoom classroom for full class meeting and introduction to the day's assignments
9:15-9:45 am – Students work independently watching demo video for Part One
9:45-10:00 am – Meet back in Zoom room to address any questions
10:00-10:15 am – BREAK
10:15-10:45 am - Students work independently watching Part Two demo video
10:45-11:00 am – Meet back in Zoom to answer any questions
11:00-11:45 am – Students work independently animating (teacher available during this time to log in remotely to student's computer and provide technical assistance)
11:45 am-12:00 pm – Meet back in Zoom to go over any questions / problems.
12:00-1:00 pm – LUNCH BREAK
1:00-2:00 pm – Screening time. Students watch selected animated films.
2:00-2:10 pm – BREAK
2:10-3:00 pm – Lab time to finish the day's assignment. Zoom remote one-on-one check-ins on work.

9:00 - 9:45 - Drawing exercises: Gesture poses
9:45- 10:15 Drawing exercises: Life drawing using Bodies in Motion website
10:00-10:15 am – BREAK
10:15 - 11:15 - Character design workshop
11:15 - 12:00 - Independent lab time bringing character designs to life through animated poses
12:00-1:00 pm – LUNCH BREAK
1:00 - 2:00 - Shooting video reference workshop; blocking key poses using your reference
2:00-2:10 pm– BREAK
2:10 - 3:00 - Independent lab time to finish up character posing animation exercise
This is an immersive studio experience with students earning 3 college credits.
Students continue working outside of class time - evenings and weekends.
