YASP Carpooling

-

For students who are commuting and families looking to coordinate a carpool, we've created an open access Google Sheet which parent/guardians will enter their contact information and location and is up to parents/guardians to reach out and connect with others in their area.

If you would like to connect with other families carpooling, add your info to the spreadsheet here and you may reach out to each other to form groups.

What should my student bring?

Tuition covers all art supplies as well as lunch and an afternoon snack. Students are welcome to bring additional snacks and refillable water bottle.

We recommend students do not bring valuable items to the program.

During class time, students are not allowed to use portable music players, personal laptops, tablets, or other electronic devices of any kind when not required for a project. This is to encourage students to be present and engaging with their peers and instructors.

If students have a cell phone, it must be turned off while classes are in session. Students are welcome to use these devices when not in a classroom.

No skateboards or scooters are allowed on campus.

Meal Plan

-

Daily lunch and afternoon snack is included in your tuition payment. All dietary preferences need to be noted in your YASP application by May 28 in order for us to best accommodate. See our weekly menu

Students should bring a snack if they want a morning snack, but afternoon snack is provided.

Attire Guidelines

Students are required to wear closed toed, protective shoes (no Crocs or Uggs, please!)

Please note that clothing may get messy.

Students should also have a way to tie back long hair.

Software Needs for Comics, Film & Photography, Graphic Design

In order to ensure your young artists have the best experience possible, we would like to provide some technical guidelines.

YASP students need access to a valid email account for Comics, Film & Photography & Graphic Design.

To access our full suite of Adobe software, students will need to have an Adobe account that they can log into with a username and password. This will only be used for login purposes, there is no fee involved, and they do not need to purchase any software. Please choose the option that you feel would be best for you and your young artist:

  1. You or your child already has an Adobe Creative Suite account. This login from your personal account can be used at CCA to access the suite of software being used for classes.
  2. You or your child has access to an email account. You can then create a free Adobe account online at www.adobe.com. Do not select start free trial - instead click Sign In and Create and Account. A valid email address is required to verify the account. Some personal information is collected (first name, last name, birth month, birth year). After the account is created and verified, the student will only need access to the Adobe account username (which is the email address used to create the account) and Adobe account password.

If you have any questions about the use of the Adobe account, or are having trouble getting it set up, please reach out to youthprograms@cca.edu and we would be happy to help address any concerns.

Attendance Policy
