Dear Students,
We want to begin by grounding you in what remains the same. Spring 2026 will continue as planned, including your courses, academic experience, student life, and commencement will move forward as scheduled. We also plan to continue teaching and supporting you through the 2026-2027 academic year. Your education, your progress, and your achievements matter deeply, and our commitment to supporting you through these milestones has not changed.
We know today’s announcement about CCA’s future may feel overwhelming, confusing, and emotional. It’s a lot to take in, and there is no “right” way to feel in this moment. We want you to know that you are not alone, and you are not expected to navigate what comes next on your own.
While we do not yet have all the answers, please know that planning is actively underway. Our commitment is to communicate with you regularly, clearly, and with care. We will guide you through this process step by step, sharing information as it becomes available and making sure you understand your options and the support available to you.
In the immediate days and weeks ahead, we are creating multiple opportunities for connection, support, and care, including:
- All Student Meeting - Today, Tuesday, January 13th at 1:30pm
- This webinar will review details of the announcement as well as specific information related to students. Invitations will be sent from the President's Office.
- Student Town Hall with the President Howse on Tuesday, January 20th at 11 am
- This will be a zoom with time for Q&A. Furthers details will be sent later in the week.
- Student-led forums to create space for open conversation about what’s on your minds and what you’re experiencing will be scheduled in the upcoming weeks by student leaders and the Equity Advancement Council.
- Rest & Reset and Box of Unasked Questions - daily in the Multicultural Resource Center
- Listening Posts - Wednesdays from 3-4 pm beginning January 14 in the Chimera Cove

Your well-being remains at the center of our work. We are here to listen, support, and walk alongside you through the uncertainty ahead.

Best.
