FILMG-6120: Graduate Writing for the Moving Image

Course Description

This course provides a solid foundation in screenwriting techniques and strategies while examining screenwriting approaches in a critical context. Students master the fundamentals of narrative and documentary screenwriting while exploring the limitations and possibilities of new methods, including the role of writing for new and non-traditional production models. Students exit the class with a script and/or treatment ready for production the following semester.
