Description:

Primeval Intersection is an interactive performance workshop using the body, the community, and our natural world as lenses to explore multidisciplinary creative expression. Based in the contemporary study of ancestral futurism, immersive performance art, and experimental theater, this class offers students a supportive environment to explore creative interpersonal expression. Students will engage in their neighborhoods and become familiar with the Bay Area performance community as they learn how to incorporate movement, sound, audience participation, and costume into their creative practice. The class is specifically designed for students with performance experience who want to deepen their work, and those who have never performed before and want to find a new comfort in themselves as physical creators. Class will culminate with a series of public performances by students in a variety of formats.
