Description:

Through hands-on studio and asynchronous sessions, students will increase their expertise and sound for cinema. The class will be structured on commercial protocols and widen to include alternative production systems and measures. This class will bring to its participants thirty years of commercial production experience manifesting itself via synchronous (zoom) lectures and critiques, asynchronous viewing, reading and individual assignments, as well as scheduled in-person workshops in the CCA Soundstage for hands-on instruction on lighting, staging, set protocol and production folk lore.Hybrid course sections will be delivered both online and in-person. Required online synchronous meeting times are listed as the meeting pattern for this course section. Additional course components will be delivered asynchronously or in-person as outlined in the syllabus.
