Description:

This course provides a solid foundation in screenwriting techniques and strategies while examining screenwriting approaches in a critical context. Students master the fundamentals of narrative and documentary screenwriting while exploring the limitations and possibilities of new methods, including the role of writing for new and non-traditional production models. Students exit the class with a script ready for production the following semester.Hybrid course sections will be delivered both online and in-person. Required online synchronous meeting times are listed as the meeting pattern for this course section. Additional course components will be delivered asynchronously or in-person as outlined in the syllabus.
