Description:
Senior projects is a two-semester required class designed to be taken in a Fall/Spring sequence. In the spring, each student will be required to complete a senior exhibition and create a DVD sample reel, resume, and artists statement that will presented during their exit review to the faculty. Additionally, students will research one grant application or exhibition space appropriate to their work. The class will produce the annual end-of-year juried show. This project will include the conceptualization, production, editing, distribution, and exhibition of the show's "trailer" as well as selecting the jury and creating all the publicity for the show. Through the development of their work for public presentation, students will develop an understanding of their practice and its place in a larger philosophical, aesthetic, and social discourse of contemporary film.
