Description:

This graduate level SRL class will meet in the instructor's screen printing studio in Vallejo, CA (The W.O.R.K.S) on 4 Saturdays. Students will have access to all equipment in this professional setting, while given the opportunity to produce a small edition of prints or customize the process to their particular area of creative interest. The small group (4-6 students) will enable the instructor to tailor the work to each person's interests in the pursuit of their creative endeavors, as well as creating work that cannot be easily done in our Oakland print studios. Film and separation work will be explained and demonstrated, as well as color registration systems used in editioning processes. Students will be responsible for the cost of any digital film work they may need, as well as printing paper, or chosen substrate. Graduate Dept. pays studio material fees. First introductory meeting will be Saturday morning, January 26, 11 a.m. at the studio. After that, there will be four studio days on Saturdays (TBD) from about 10 am - 4pm Note: The W.O.R.K.S is an oil based ink studio and mineral spirits are used.
