Description:

Climate Design is an emerging creative effort that focuses on using creative skills to take climate action. Topics for this graduate elective include regeneration, systemic change, behavior change, capitalism, consumerism, ecology, economics, culture jamming, influence and persuasion. These are areas that highlight why we are experiencing our climate emergency and, more importantly, design's role in addressing the climate crisis. Incorporating climate change in your work requires a much bigger, more expansive understanding of our world. We're seeing a huge interest from companies big and small stepping up their role as a climate leader in their industry. This course will encourage students to reconsider certain perspectives and methodologies that can then be implemented in their work. Learn more about this growing movement at climatedesigners.org.
