Description:
This course bridges philosophical inquiry with professional practice to prepare students for ethical, reflective, and strategic participation in contemporary creative industries. Designed to fulfill the PHCRT (Philosophy Critical Thinking) core requirement while also advancing college-wide Professional Practice goals, the course integrates reading and discussion of philosophical texts with hands-on activities, digital tools, and portfolio development. Students will leave with a stronger sense of purpose, agency, and preparedness to navigate the intersections of identity, values, and labor in the creative workforce.Philosophy and Critical Theory (PHCRT) courses focus on developing critical reading and thinking skills, with an emphasis on learning to frame and explore meaningful questions. Students consider multiple perspectives and claims in the process of formulating independent, well-founded opinions.
