Description:
Students will be Layering, overlapping, colliding with digitally made visual images with the handmade painted elements together on a variety of surfaces and formats. Contemporary artists, illustrators, designers, and creatives are involved in deep investigations of creating works of art with both digital and handmade elements, how do these work together in contrast or in harmony? What is a compelling collision? AI presents new opportunities as well as aesthetic and ethical concerns, how do we use these tools with consciousness of parameters? What is refining and what is turning something inside and out? Software basics and advances will be navigated with the omnipresent mark of the physical hand. Where does the finished work emerge?
